The Akai SXL [3] is a bit professional stereo digital sampler. When the SXL was released, it was Akai's top of the line. For adding sounds to the sampler, the SXL features a 3. For fans of synths, pianos or keyboard instruments of any sort. I have an Akai SXL currently languishing in the rack. I'm missing it and want to get it properly integrated into the studio again. The stumbling block appears to be getting audio into it. I'm fairly sure I know the answer to this, but does anyone know if something like this is still possible with the current crop of Macs? Or has anyone come up with any work arounds for getting audio into an old SCSI sampler? I'm currently working on an 8 Core Mac Pro.

As far as I'm aware in the old Akai's like the ones discussed here they kept the product lines quite separated.

OS9 will be good to see again. Also going to try a usb to scsi adapter with a g5 and recycle2. Pretty convinced it's not going to work though.
