FORTEC REPAIR PDF

Fortec BD Kevlar Kevlar fiber bi-directional fabric for crack repair, water-proofing and structural reinforcement. Fortec BD Kevlar is a bi-directional fabric system comprised of highly durable 5, denier Kevlar yarns, producing a superior and dense weave. The system is designed for heavy duty crack repair, crack control, and structural strengthening of concrete and masonry structures where durability, impact resistance and protection of water intrusion is needed. The system of Fortec BD Kevlar textile used with Fortec Lo-Mod Flexible epoxy resin is the best alliance of strength and bonding that seals out moisture, transfers loads and allows temperature and stress related movements to occur without brittleness. Fortec Carbon Tow Sheet is a flexible, woven, unidirectional carbon fiber textile with a lightweight scrim on both sides designed for use as an externally applied reinforcement for strengthening concrete, timber and masonry structures. They are designed for strengthening concrete, timber and masonry structures and usually used with the Near Surface Mounted NSM installation technique.

Waterproofing is the process of making an object or structure waterproof or water-resistant so that it remains relatively unaffected by water or resists the ingress of water under specified conditions. We supply the following waterproofing systems: sealing systems and repair solutions, injection, polymer stabilising geological injection, concrete repair and waterproofing and waterproofing for waste water structures and tunnelling.

Stress bars are a very effective method of inducing and controlling loads and forces in structures. To allow connections and anchoring, a thread is that runs the length of the bar is installed during the manufacturing process. We supply and install the full range of stress bars for applications including post tensioning, soil anchorages and rock nails, formwork materials and fixing systems for bridge barriers.

Temporary movement joints are commonly used to accommodate shrinkage in concrete slabs. Traditionally, their construction has been problematic with the use of N20 steel reinforcing bar located in a length of flat ducting to allow movement at a joint.

This duct is deformed when inserting the reinforcing bar and this prevents the lateral movement of the slab. Once shrinkage has stabilised, grout is pumped into the ducting, locking the bar in position. It is widely accepted that the performance achieved by these site assembled components is unreliable. Issues such as these has inspired us to develop a new range of temporary movement joints called TMJ EcoSleeve to suit N20 and N24 bars.

Punching shear is an important design consideration when thinner slabs will be supported by columns. The slabs need additional reinforcement at their connection points to prevent the columns from penetrating the slab. We supply a full range of punching shear reinforcement products to mitigate slab penetration.

Our post tensioning systems includes a range of anchorages, accessories and the necessary equipment to respond to the technical requirements for the construction of building, bridges and other structures.
