Rating details. Sort order. Nov 04, Tilly rated it it was amazing. Turning my favorite book into a graphic novel? That sounds like something I would like. And I did. Review follows. Apr 08, Ella rated it really liked it. I was actually kind of putting off reading this book for some reason - I think the full page of text at the start scared me off.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I started that I could actually understand it very well I think I sometimes underestimate my language skills! I read the German version, of course, but I wouldn't mind finding an English copy at some time in the future for comparison I hear the translation is very good. The book also wasn't nearly as long as I imagined. Beca I was actually kind of putting off reading this book for some reason - I think the full page of text at the start scared me off.

Because of the long glossary at the end, the actual story was a lot shorter than I anticipated and because of all the pictures there was a lot less text than for a ordinary book that size, as well.

I admit I didn't actually realise the story had finished until I was halfway through the glossary and noticed that it wasn't just an interesting section in the middle, but the whole rest of the book! Don't think it ended very conclusively, but I guess that's because there's more that follow on.

Dec 13, Alexander Trampe rated it it was amazing. I haven't read the novel; so, I can't compare the two. Anyway, the illustration is just great - you can spend lots of time admiring the images and discovering new details. Aug 12, Laura rated it it was amazing.
